A hot April day

Today was a hot one ... I think it got up to 90 degrees. We had a leisurely morning, Pete took the boys biking on the Matthew Hanson Trail which he does a few times a month. Pete mentioned that something interesting is starting to develop between the boys. Ty's strength and confort on his bike are skyrocketing these days. Owen actually had to work hard to catch up to Ty when he was biking ahead, and work even harder to pass him. I don't know what Owen's reaction is going to be if/when Ty pulls ahead, fights to stay ahead and wins that battle...

We had been talking about building a bat box for the local population to roost in our yard. We see them frequently in our front and back yards. They are fantastic mammals to observe and they help with mosquito/stink bug control, which is a big deal to me. I hope to attract them to our front yard with our new bat box.

Owen wanted me to write "Bat Box" on there so the bats would know where to go ... makes sense  :)
Our bat roosting habitat fun was punctuated by a few thunderstorms and some sprinkler play!! The first of the season

Playing ball
Washing bikes
Being very cute
Being very serious

And while looking for a rainbow later on in the day there was more water play in backwards pants and underwear. Great day.
