Didn't get to all of those things today but we did take a drive in the direction of Larriland Farm thinking we would go pick apples and enjoy this fall day before going to Sharp's at Waterford Farm for a maze. The boys grew tired of the car rather quickly so we ditched the apple and pumpkin picking idea and went straight to the maze. What a wonderful surprise and fabulous decision!!! No apples but a hayride to a big pumpkin patch with fruit so big and perfect they were incredibly hard to choose! Animals to feed, a little store with the last of their (delicious) heirloom tomatoes, pick your own popcorn (yeah!!) and a great educational corn maze about cotton growing and picking. It was awesome. So glad we went there today.

| Answer the question about cotton growing and its history right and it will guide you towards the right path ... answer it wrong and you get lost or find a dead end and have to turn around. |

| This rooster was so funny and reminded me of a friend who used to have one and named him Puff Daddy. Hilarious! |
Life is hard without our Indie boy and Owen has figured out that Pete needs to release his sadness at times. He decided to guide Pete down to Indie's spot and fully expected him to let some tears out but it wasn't quite the moment. Owen is such a loving and thoughtful little guy. He has been dealing with Indie's death amazingly well, crying when he needs to and with very few unexplained or unverbalized feelings. I am just impressed at my little man's ability to gauge and handle his need to grieve his dog.
And then there's Tenzing ... I wonder what that little creature feels at this moment. I mean, he *IS* a crazy-ass cat but he was raised by Indie who gave him lick baths and carried him around when he had just managed to fully open his eyes. Is he missing Indie? Is he grieving too? I guess we'll never know.
