Motorcycles rule our lives

Today was a great day to ride motorbikes in the back yard. Pete and the boys set up a mini hare scrambles course using yellow caution tape and garden stakes and had a blast. Pete even rode the CRF and gave Owen some competition around the "track" ... the OSET ran out of battery power so Owen switched to the KTM. Much harder and intimidating than the OSET. First he took the bike for a spin in the front yard.

Then he went in the back yard, half the speed of his OSET since he's not yet used to this little rocket. He had been riding the OSET and the CRF for an hour or so before I shot this and he was too cooked to continue to ride ... that's a lot to say (You can see Pete pulling the tape and riding the CRF in the back)

But of course, when they are done riding, the motorcycle adventures don't stop there ... They are playing and cooperating much more these days. I would venture to say that it's mostly due to Ty understanding and playing along more, following Owen's directions and tolerating his brother's order giving. It's quite cute and what a relief to hear tears and crying replaced by laughter (most of the time) ... and INDEPENDENT PLAY!! HURRAY!
